One Night Departure/ Check-In is required by 8:15am/9:15a (time is dependent on season)
All Participants must be able to swim.
Children must be at least 6 years old to use kayaks and canoes.
Advanced Reservations required.
All Rentals must be OFF the river by 5/6pm •Times dependent on time of year •Late fees will apply
Overnight campsites are first come first serve, designated areas only, and limited to one night per site only.
Campers should follow DWG Park Service rules and camping guidelines.
Campsites are primitive with little more than a flat to camp.
Camp fires can only be built in steel rings or on your own camp stove.
Campers should bring their own potable water.
Campers should keep all overnight equipment in waterproof bags that can be leashed to the canoe.
Please leave campsites with what you brought.
Chamberlain will dispose of your trash at the end of the trip.
Ensure your belongings stay dry by bringing waterproof bags or containers.
Look at the forecast before heading out to avoid storms or high winds.
Getting to the launch site early helps secure equipment and settle in smoothly.
If new to canoeing, practice your strokes at the start to increase comfort.
The lake has a history of indigenous fishing and early settlement trade routes that shaped the local community.
