*Megalodon Teeth: Fossilized teeth from the largest shark to ever live. These massive teeth can reach over 7" in length and are triangular with a broad base and serrated edges. *Great White Teeth: Smaller but equally fascinating teeth from ancient great white ancestors dating back from millions of years. They are triangular with a sharp point and have smooth edges often measuring 2 to 3 inches. Tiger Shark: Distinctive with a more elongated shape and pronounced serrations. Typically ranging from 1 to 2 inches and have a unique curved appearance. Bull Shark: Smaller and more robust, often featuring a broad triangular shape. Measuring about 1 to 2 inches and can have a less pronounced serration compared to Great White teeth. Hammerhead Shark: Usually smaller and have a unique shape with a distinctive point and slight serrations measuring around 1 inch long. Sand Tiger Shark: Characterized by their elongated, pointed shape and often have smooth edges measuring less than 1.5 inches long. Lemon Shark: Triangular and have a slightly curved shape usually ranging from 1 to 2 inches with a distinctive yellowish color due to the mineralization process.

Finding these teeth can provide insights into the marine ecosystems that existed millions of years ago in the Charleston area. Let's go explore!

*No shovels or sifters are used as we are conscious collectors and we minimize the negative impacts to the ecology. Ethical means of fossil hunting are used on our trips, just using the eyes to search and discover the rich ocean story of the past.
