Through various experiences we have experienced that the world around us is temporary and can suddenly be completely different.

Fortunately, this year the “Amsterdam Light Festival” (ALF) is again organizing the now world famous event to illuminate the city of Amsterdam during the cold and dark winter days. BoatAmsterdam.Com is a proud partner of this festival and organizes daily boat trips to admire the (light) artworks and the canals of Amsterdam.

ALF theme 2023-2024: “Loading”

Let the approximately 20 light artworks and the Amsterdam canals enchant you and let your imagination run wild.

BoatAmsterdam.Com offers you the opportunity to sail past this event and admire the artworks and canals while enjoying (unlimited) hot and cold drinks (depending on your ticket) in a cozy and heated environment. All this while you receive an explanation about the works of art.

You are welcome on our board where you can choose from various options that we offer you. We use various ships. For example, our comfortable covered sloops with heated cushions and blankets, but also covered tour boats with heating. We invite you to view our offer, which varies from an ALF cruise with gluhwein to a fully organized company outing or family/friends outing.

What is included:

• Bestseller cruise to admire the artworks of the Amsterdam Light Festival from the water.
• This product includes all Gluhwein and hot drinks (coffee/tea/hot chocolate). Look at our other products for the possibilities for other drinks.
• This product uses the official audio tour of the Amsterdam Light Festival or Live guide if available.
• Access to the festival. The festival is not organized by us and we contribute €8,10 on your behalf to the “Stichting Amsterdam Light Festival” for the realization of the artworks.
• Toilet on board

About the festival


 Every year, the Amsterdam Light Festival has a unique theme. This theme forms the foundation for inspiration for the artworks. This year the theme is “Loading”.
 After the impact of the last two years we have been confronted with the fact that the world around us is temporary and can seem very different in an instance. Now we are confronted with the upcoming technology of AI which is taking over the world. Look through the light and let your fantasy run wild. Join us on this journey and experience it yourself!

We are dedicated to make cruising the canals comfortable and enjoyable. It is our honor to show you around in Amsterdam and in the winter, we are partner of the festival. We do not organize the festival, only the canal cruise. We offer a wide selection of cruises during the festival, ranging from mulled wine included, all drinks included, private table including prosecco and complete private tours for families and businesses.

About the Drinks

“Play fair and drink responsible”: We want all our guests to have a good time.

We offer three types of products; please carefully select which product you want before you complete your booking. 

Product 1: “Gluhwein/Mulled wine” This package included unlimited mulled wine for the adults only. And for all passengers it includes Hot drinks (coffee/tea/hot chocolate) and juices. 

Product 2: “All drinks included”, This package includes product 1, but also includes Heineken beer, wine and soda’s.

Product 3: “Prosecco/private table cruise”, this package includes all of product 2 and has prosecco extra.
