The River Center, located in Burt Reynolds Park in Jupiter, is offering educational field trip programs to homeschool groups throughout the fiscal school year. Through support from the Loxahatchee River District, the River Center provides these programs for FREE.* Our programs our designed to meet the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards for kindergarten through 12th grade. Our mission is to foster a sense of environmental stewardship for the Loxahatchee River’s diverse watershed with quality programs, educational exhibits, and meaningful events.
The River Center features 9 state of the art aquariums representing the different ecosystems of the Loxahatchee River, including a touch tank. Our programs include an interactive tour of our facility, a touch tank demonstration, and a hands-on activity of your choosing for up to 25 students (minimum of 10 students). Programs are 1.5 hours long on selected Thursday afternoons.

Programs occur on select Thursday afternoons and fill quickly; reserve your spot well in advance to guarantee availability.
Each session requires at least 10 participants to run, so coordinate group numbers beforehand to avoid cancellations.
Dress for indoor walking and interactive activities; non-slip shoes are recommended for touch tank demonstrations.
Arriving 10-15 minutes before start time allows for check-in and a relaxed start to the program.
