This cozy little hideaway is named after none other than Alaska Nellie, a legendary pioneer who once called this rugged wilderness home. Nellie was a true trailblazer, and we hope that as you settle in at this yurt, you will feel just as welcome as Nellie's guests did all those years ago and maybe even find a little bit of inspiration from the amazing pioneer herself.
With accommodations for up to 5 people, "The Nellie" features bunks with one double bed and three twin beds, as well as plenty of hooks to hang up your gear. There's a handmade spruce table in the center, and you might find a few board games and a deck of cards for some old-fashioned fun during your stay.
Once booked, you'll receive a confirmation email with details regarding logistics, directions and other specific information about what's included at camp and a list of what we suggest that you might want to bring along.
Many Alaskans and visitors have their own mode of transportation across the lake. However, if you happen to be traveling here from afar, or you just don't want to load up your own kayak, we may have kayaks available to rent. Contact us for more information.
You’ll need to kayak and hike to reach the yurt; bring all necessary gear and supplies as there are no onsite guides.
