Cascadia State Park is located in Linn County, Oregon, approximately 15 miles west of the city of Albany. The park sits within the Western Cascades, featuring dense stands of old-growth Douglas fir, western hemlock, and cedar trees. One of the park's signature features is Cascadia Falls, a multi-tiered waterfall plunging into a narrow gorge carved by the south Santiam River. The park spans a narrow river canyon landscape at an elevation of roughly 600 feet and offers a peaceful environment that contrasts with the surrounding lowland agricultural areas. Cascadia State Park was established in 1949 on land that was once part of a railroad right-of-way, preserving the natural environment and providing access to the falls and surrounding forest.
