About Logar Valley

Logar Valley, known as Logarska Dolina in Slovene, is one of the most picturesque alpine valleys in Slovenia. It is part of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and stretches for about 7 kilometers. The valley is carved by glacial activities and surrounded by steep mountain peaks that rise over 2000 meters. Rich in biodiversity, it hosts lush meadows, dense forests, and sparkling waterfalls, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts. Traditionally used for farming and forestry, Logar Valley has transitioned into a protected area that prioritizes sustainable tourism and conservation. Recreational activities include hiking, cycling, and cross-country skiing, depending on the season. The Rinka Waterfall, located at the upper end, is one of the highest waterfalls in Slovenia and a highlight for visitors. The valley's natural beauty and tranquility offer a perfect escape for hikers, photographers, and anyone looking to connect with nature.
