The Oregon Coast Range Forestlands stretch along the Pacific Coast of Oregon and consist primarily of portions of the Siuslaw National Forest and other protected public lands. Characterized by steep, forested ridges, deep river valleys, and a mild maritime climate, the region supports dense stands of Douglas fir, western hemlock, and Sitka spruce. This forestland is part of one of the most productive temperate rainforests in North America and serves as critical habitat for species such as the northern spotted owl, Roosevelt elk, and coho salmon.
