In the morning we'll start you off learning how to move in and out of the current, using different paddle strokes to control the kayak and potentially practicing how to exit and get back into the boat. After a delicious deli style lunch we'll take you to the next level and let you put those newly learned skills to the test in Class II and III Whitewater.
Participants must be in good physical shape and be willing to swim in the river.
Opt for moisture-wicking clothes and layers to stay comfortable both on and off the water.
Use dry bags or waterproof cases to keep your valuables safe from splashes and unexpected water exposure.
Familiarize yourself with forward, sweep, and stop strokes to maximize control during rapids.
