About

Our 8 Mile Paradise begins on the northern border of Yellowstone Park. Right where the Gardner River converges with the mighty Yellowstone River, you will find rolling waves that are fun for the whole family! This private trip is 2-3 hours round trip and can accommodate 4-8 guests per boat, plus the guide.

What to Wear:

  • MAY – JUNE & late SEPT- For rafting bring a bathing suit to wear underneath a provided wetsuit. In addition, we will lend you a fleece top, a splash jacket (semi-waterproof coat) and neoprene booties that go on your bare feet.
  • JULY – early SEPT- Basically, wear something you don't mind getting wet. A bathing suit under light weight shorts/pants and T-shirt often works best for rafting.  If you get cold easily, you are welcome to all of our cold weather gear.  Wear sturdy sandals or water shoes, or borrow our booties for footwear.
  • What NOT to Wear- Do not plan to raft in jeans, sweat suits or any kind of heavy cotton. Sandals without a back strap are not permitted on the river.

There is no charge to use our river gear for your trip and we have changing rooms onsite!

Rafting Restrictions:

  • All rafters must fit into a 56 inch chest size personal floatation device.
  • All rafters must be in reasonably good physical condition. People with health concerns should consult a physician prior to booking a trip. Please be realistic about your physical condition and limitations.
  • Pregnant women are not permitted on trips.
  • All participants must demonstrate the ability to follow directions from the guides before being allowed on the trip.

Lunch:

Lunch is not provided with this trip. If you would like lunch adjacent to your trip, you are welcome to bring it along and use our picnic tables. Gardiner also has plenty of yummy restaurants within walking distance of our office.
