About This Adventure

Experience the thrill of wingfoiling with our Beginner Program, featuring hands-on lessons that blend land training with water practice. Start with wingsurfing basics on a SUP board, then soar above the waves on a hydrofoil board. Enjoy personalized coaching and the chance for exhilarating downwind sessions for maximum water time.

PROGRAM

Our Beginner Program consists of 2 types of Wing Lessons; According to wind conditions and your level, Lesson 1 are typically done on the 1st Session, and Lesson 2 on the 2nd Session.

Lesson 1: WINGSURF We start on land and go through: -Rigging -Correct Grip -Static Control (without board) -Body positioning on boards -Pop-up Technique Then it's time to get wet: we go in the water, find the right position, and try what we have learned on land. We start practicing on a SUP BOARD with keel fins which is the safest and definitely easiest.

Lesson 2: WINGFOIL In this Session, we use the Wing + a dedicated HYDROFOIL-BOARD to fly over the water with the wind. If the conditions and your level is appropriate, we can carry out the session as a Downwinder where we pick you and the equipment up with vehicles further down the beach, and drive back to the start, so you get the maximum amount of time in the water.

LOCATION

Our Wingfoil Courses are held at SOLA, with attendance at Sola Brettseilerforening at SØMMEVÅGEN. Here you will try on a wetsuit, life jacket and helmet, and we collect the equipment for the day. Then we go to the SPOT OF THE DAY, which can be either Sømmevågen in Hafrsfjord (South Winds), or Sola Beach close by (North Winds). We provide transport or you can drive your own car if you wish. If you come by public transport, we can pick you up in Stavanger Center or at Stavanger Lufthavn Sola (SVG).
