Bordeaux wine tours – a lovely way to spend the day. We’ll drive up into the Medoc peninsula and take a tour of a vineyard in the late morning. There are hundreds to choose from! From Pauillac to Margaux, and on to St Estephe and the Rothschild’s, driving through the fields filled with vines. After lunch we’ll drive through the vineyards and visit another winery in the Medoc, or if you like we can go to Saint Emilion. This lovely village is on the UNESCO list of World-Heritage sites.
The Médoc region is North of the city of Bordeaux where we find some of the most famous vineyards in the world: St Estephe, Pauillac; Margaux; St Julian.
East of Bordeaux is where you will find some of the oldest vines in France; around the lovely medieval fortified village of St. Emilion. Here you may also visit the famous monolithic church carved into the rock by the monk Émilion who the town is named after.
Most visits include walking through vineyards and villages, so sturdy shoes are recommended.
