This unique expedition begins at 8 AM or 1 PM and combines wildlife viewing with the snowshoe sampler in Grand Teton National Park. Spot wildlife in their natural setting as your local naturalist shares the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Visit habitats of bighorn sheep, elk, moose, deer, coyote, fox, eagles, Trumpeter swans and much more. After time spent exploring mixed habitats with optics, you will journey into the forest to look for animal tracks and sign and connect to the landscape on snowshoes.
For your comfort and safety, dress for the weather and temperatures- we suggest warm layers (non-cotton) with a waterproof outer layer, hat, gloves, and insulated waterproof boots. Temperature changes can vary greatly and winter weather can be windy and cold. Hand and toe warmers can be helpful. Bring sunglasses or goggles for protection from the sun, even on cloudy days. Boots and clothing can be rented locally. Please inquire.
We provide: Naturalist or biologist guide, interpretive materials, transportation, optics, snowshoes, gaiters, ski poles, snacks, waistpack, bottled water and warm beverages.
