Designed for beginner to intermediate photographers, we will discuss exposure settings; ISO; depth of field; filters and all the important tips and techniques required to master your camera.

Photography “Cheat Sheet” – printed notes supplied.

Itinerary

Mid afternoon: Start time is 3 hours prior to sunset. Start with a short discussion on camera settings and theory.

Guided Shoot #1 Waterfall shoot in the foothills of Mt Wellington. Learn how to achieve the beautiful silky flow effect which makes waterfall photos so striking! Transfer to Eastern Shore. Continue discussion on technique.

Guided Shoot #2 Sunset from the Eastern Shore. We will talk about composition, exposure settings and filters, and shoot sunset and early twilight as the city lights sparkle into life. Test out your newly acquired knowledge of Manual Settings and long exposure!

What to bring

  • Camera & Tripod. Spare & fully charged batteries.
  • Any camera accessories you like to use – polarisers and neutral density filters are highly recommended!
  • Sturdy footwear, and weather appropriate clothing.

Adventure Tips

Dress for variable weather
