Experience Yellowstone through the eyes of scientists, artists, and historic explorers. Hands-on activities, plenty of time out of the vehicle, and your highly-trained educator-guide will create an engaging experience that will be fun and memorable for the whole family!

Choose from the following program options:

  • Lamar Valley Wildlife: Explore the iconic wildlife of Yellowstone's northern range, including the geology and ecology of the Lamar Valley. (Departs from Gardiner, Mammoth Hot Springs, Tower Junction, Lamar Valley)
  • Ecology and Geology of Hayden Valley & Yellowstone Lake: Observe bison and other wildlife in Hayden Valley, listen to the bubbling mud pots at Mud Volcano, walk along the Yellowstone River, and follow in the footsteps of explorers along the shores of Yellowstone Lake. (Departs from Canyon Village and Yellowstone Lake Village)
  • The Yellowstone Volcano: Old Faithful Geysers & Hot Springs: See and learn about the world-famous geysers, stunning hot springs, and colorful mud pots in the Old Faithful area, Grand Prismatic Hot Spring, and Fountain Paint Pots. (Departs from Old Faithful Village and Madison Junction)
  • Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone & Norris Geyser Basin: Enjoy a little bit of everything - the powerful geysers and stinky steam vents of Norris Geyser Basin, the colorful walls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and the intriguing stories of the first people who traveled through these wonder-lands. What to bring

  • Your park pass.

  • Layered clothing. Your confirmation email will include a detailed, seasonally-appropriate clothing and equipment list. If you have clothing or gear questions prior to booking, please contact us, and we will be happy to help!

  • Food. We provide hot beverages and light snacks. Please bring any other food items you would like. We plan to conclude in time for you to enjoy lunch on your own after the tour.

  • Reusable water bottle. Your guide will have a large cooler of water from which you can refill your bottle.

  • Camera (if desired).

  • Small backpack to carry water and snacks while away from the vehicle for short periods of time.

  • Age-appropriate child car seats or booster seats for any children in your party.

  • Lots of questions, enthusiasm, and curiosity!

Gratuity is not included in the price of your tour. If you would like to recognize your guide for great service, gratuity at your discretion is permitted and appreciated.
