About This Adventure

Embark on a thrilling 3.5-hour boat trip around Skye, where you’ll search for majestic whales and playful dolphins amidst stunning scenery. Covering over 35 nautical miles, this adventure offers breathtaking views of cliffs and the Cuillins, while providing ample opportunities to spot diverse wildlife in their natural habitat.

Duration: 3.5 Hours

Join us on our boat trip from one of the most popular places on Skye whilst searching for the elegant whales and Dolphins. The area is rich in wildlife and while the extended duration gives us the best oppertunity to spot whales. We go to the areas with the best chances of spotting whales but this doesn't always mean its a guarantee, we will try our best to spot and provide binoculars for helping sightings. Please bear this in mind when booking and joining our trips.

We'll normally cover over 35nm on this trip and go past the Old Man of Storr, towards the deep waters and the Isle of Rona, with the faster flowing tides these grounds along with shipwrecks in the area help feed the beautiful wildlife we all want to see. Our spotting of plentiful during the season, though Puffins are normally finishing in late May early June.

Often seen are Porpoises, Dolphins, Gannets, Sea and Golden Eagles, Minke whales and on occasion Humback whales, Basking sharks and Orcas.

This tour takes you through the stunning sound with high cliffs, dramatic scenery and views of the awe inspiring Cuillins. The surrounding hills of the pennisular and the basalt pavement make for great photos. The area is home to a variety of sea birds, wildlife and some great local history! We encounter the most wildlife on this trip due to the extra hour and the amount of distance we cover. This trip is subject to weather more so than our others.

Highlights

Our interactions with wildlife on the trip are often plentiful with the diverse ecology of Skye and the west coast of Scotland. Stunning scnerey and seeing the islands from a better perspective, leaving the crowded roads and gaining some relaxing time at sea. We try for the best experience for you and will always aim to find wildlife and share some great stories along the way.

Our other Experience

Sometimes our two hour boat trip is better suited due to the longer duration we spend on this trip. Please get intouch with us if you have any questions.
