The ferry ride departs the Bois Blanc Island Township Dock and takes approximately 45 minutes to travel south to Cheboygan, Mi. On a clear day, when you look to the west, you get a view of the Mackinac Bridge, connecting the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan. Along the passage south, you may be lucky to enjoy the view of a freighter or various other boats that enjoy the beauty of the Straits of Mackinac. As you get closer to the Cheboygan River, Fourteen Foot Shoal, Poe Reef, and the Cheboygan Crib Lighthouses can all be seen. You end your ride by traveling under the State Street Bridge in Cheboygan.
