Walking Tour to Lower and Upper Antelope Canyons

About This Adventure

Half a day adventure to Lower where the light illuminates the canyon walls creating vivid colors and you will see incredible sandstone creations throughout the canyon then explore Upper before or after Lower to experience the incredible light beams.

What to expect for Lower and Upper Antelope Canyons:

  • Pickup is at least 1 hour before your selected tour time
  • Cultural tour during transit and an expedited check-in at the first canyon site
  • For the morning tour, visitors will begin their guided tour at 9:45am to Lower Antelope Canyon with a short 10-minute walk to the entrance of the canyon which is approximately 1.1 miles long
  • Then descend 5 flights of stairs using handrails into the largest cavern of the canyon
  • The tour guides will adjust your phone settings to capture the best angles for the most unique rock formations such as The Wave, The Lady in the Wind, The Seahorse and etc
  • You will gradually exit the canyon at an incline with a few more separate ladders that are welded into the canyon walls for stability
  • Reload the van and enjoy a snack as we drive over to Upper Antelope Canyon for an 11:40 am tour time check-in
  • You will then take a 10 minute ride on a 4x4 truck with open back seating to the entrance of the canyon which is less than a mile long
  • Upon exiting the canyon, you will hike on an incline up and around the top of the canyon and descend 150 steps down a staircase back to the trucks then return to our van
  • Lastly, after your tours are complete then we will drop you off back at your hotel/AirBnB or accommodations
  • Otherwise, for the afternoon tour, you will be checked in at Lower for your 1:45pm tour time then proceed as described above.

Please note that there are only portable restrooms located at the canyon check-in sites.
