About

Our flat water lessons take place at Crawford State Park. The park sits high upon a mesa above the north rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. You will enjoy every minute on Crawford Reservoir amidst rolling hills, surrounded by high peaks and the iconic Crawford Needle. During this 2 hour lesson you will learn the basics of stand up paddle boarding including standing, the basic stroke, advanced strokes, bracing and turning. The calm environment and professional instructors will have you at ease on a board in no time. As in everything we do, the main intent is to have fun! Wetsuit, booties and splash top provided. Appropriate for ages 6 and up.


What to Bring

We will provide you with everything you will need for your SUP lesson, just show up in your swimsuit! Though not required, we suggest bringing along:

  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Sunglasses w/ Retainer
  • Securely Fitting Sandals
