A trip to Vaxholm - also called the capital of the archipelago. Travel time is 45 minutes so you will have 1,5 hours on site. Vaxholm town is idyllic with narrow alleys, shops, restaurants, and galleries that make it nice to explore. The Vaxholm citadel is an impressive building from the 16th century designed to guard the entrance to Stockholm. We take a different route on our way back to Stockholm for you to experience as much as possible of the environment. We strongly recommend a visit to Cafe at Vaxholm hembygdsgård for a typical Swedish Fika!
