Season challenge offers you a great variety of diving spots in São Miguel Island to explore, from rock formations to artificial reefs. Our team provides safe and professional guidance throughout our local diving spots always ensuring that you will dive in the best diving conditions as possible.
Diving in S. Miguel is a magnificent experience, we dive in the south coast. The sea bottom are canyons and volcanic archs. We have a wreck (Dori), one of the best spots. Most of the diving sites are between 5 to 30 meters which are suitable both for beginners and for more experienced divers.
From our diving spots, we highlight the artificial reef of Dori shipwreck. Dori was a cargo ship used for several military missions during World War II. In 1964, the ship sank in the south coast of São Miguel Island (Azores) due to hull damage. Nowadays, Dori shipwreck is protected as an archeologic site and is one of the best dives to do in the Azores due to the great diversity of species living there.
