Join us for an annual event honoring Benjamin “Benny” Alexander Grose, a cherished member of the paddling community. This poignant gathering not only celebrates Benny's life but also fosters vital conversations about mental health support, ensuring his legacy inspires awareness and compassion for those facing similar struggles.
KWP and the paddling community were saddened to hear of the loss of Benjamin “Benny” Alexander Grose, Leah Kindree’s son. After living with mental illness for more than 20 years, his struggle became overwhelming, and tragically, Benny ended his life. After discussions with Leah and Wayne (her husband of many years), we decided to create an annual event that commemorates Benny’s life as well as spark a conversation regarding the importance of mental health support.
