When you dive below 18 metres/60 feet, there are special safety considerations, you were already introduced to these in the Advanced Course. If you're ready to expand your boundaries to the Maximum Depth of Recreational Diving, we will help you gain the skills and confidence to explore to a maximum depth of 40 metres.
You will need all your dive gear, including Advanced Kit, torch, DSMB, Compass, cutting instrument
You will start off the Course with PADI eLearning, making it easy to fit the scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Complete the independent study part of your course whenever, wherever it's convenient for you. Work at your own pace, online or offline, using a computer or mobile device. Whenever you have a question, just call or email training@divejervisbay.com and one of our instructors will get back to you to help.
The eLearning time commitment is around 4-8 hours.
Once you have completed your ELearning we can start your practical component. Day 1 usually starts with a theory review and general discussion with your instructor, before heading out for the first two dives off one of our boats. The next day will review our learning, then head out for the final two dives. During these you'll practice descents, buoyancy and safety stops. Through hands-on exercises, you'll discover how deep dives affect colour, physical objects and your brain.
You will get to experience diving with a redundant air source, emergency procedures and practice the skills necessary to dive to a Depth of 40m.
Apply sunscreen and wear a hat to stay protected during outdoor water activities.
Bring plenty of water, especially on hot days, to maintain energy and hydration.
Consult weather forecasts before heading out to ensure safe and enjoyable trips.
Use water sandals or quick-drying shoes for ease of movement and safety.
