If you have never kayaked we recommend a guided tour for your first trip on the river.
Travel through the protected wildlife refuge dominated by bald cypress, water tupelo and isolated strands of rare Atlantic White Cedar.
With your 2-hour & 3-hour rentals you may see:
- Birds such as Herons, Egrets, Wood Storks, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Ducks, Prothonatary Warblers (aka Swamp Canaries), Woodpeckers
- Animals such as Snakes, Beaver, Otter, Deer, River Otters, the occasional Alligator, numerous species of Turtles, Barred Owls, Mississippi Kites, and Coopers Hawks
