Whitstable is a town on the north coast of Kent adjoining the convergence of the Swale Estuary and the Greater Thames Estuary in southeastern England, five miles north of Canterbury and two miles west of Herne Bay. The 2011 Census reported a population of 32,100. Whitstable has long been famous for its oysters, which still play a central role in Whitstable's commerce and culture. Native Oysters have been harvested in Whitstable since Roman times, and while these can sometimes be harder to get hold of, there are also plenty of locally grown rock oysters to be enjoyed.

All safety procedures and practices: When you come aboard Starfish a brief 5 minutes safety talk will be given before we set out to sea. Life jackets will be provided to those that choose to wear them (optional). Under 16`s by law must wear them at all times while onboard our boats.
Please bring appropriate clothing to suit the weather of your trip. Hats, sunglasses, sun cream, waterproofs, woolly hat, towel & change of clothes.
