All Ages • 5 - 6 Hours • Up to 14 Passengers
Embark on a stunning 5-6 hour boat ride along Washington Island's breathtaking west coast to Rock Island State Park. Marvel at the majestic Niagara Escarpment, historic Boyers Bluff Light, and the haunting shipwreck of the Louisiana. Enjoy hiking, picnicking, and exploring the island's rich history before returning to Detroit Harbor.
5 - 6 Hour Cruise
Ride with us along the towering cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment, and take in the Boyers Bluff Light tower, scenic Washington Harbor, Schoolhouse Beach, and, if conditions allow, the shipwreck of the Louisiana, sunk in the Great Storm of 1913. Once at Rock Island, we will drop you off for two to three hours, during which you can hike up to the Pottawatomie Lighthouse, the oldest on Lake Michigan. Or, bring a picnic lunch and tour the historic Thordarson Boat House, original residences, and beach areas of the island. We'll pick you up again after your excursion and cruise you back to Detroit Harbor.
Private Charters are $250 an hour while running, lesser rate per hour while on Island. For example a trip up to Rock and back enjoying the ride and taking some photos is about three hours without getting off and hiking on the Island.
