The hike includes sandy and rocky terrain plus stair descents, so supportive footwear is essential.
Hydration is key; water isn’t provided during the hikes, and desert heat can be intense.
Upper Antelope Canyon restricts all bags, tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks for visitor safety and to protect the fragile environment.
Expect a 1.5-mile hike through the canyon and a 1.5-mile round trip to Horseshoe Bend with some uphill sandy sections.
