With our half day (4 hours) and full day (9 hours) unguided tours, you can visit several sites to see and experience the rest of Bryce! Your full-day experience will include stops at Grosvenor's Arch / Cottonwood Wash Narrows, Bull Valley Gorge Slot Canyon, Willis Creek Slot Canyon, Sheep Creek Trail and the Georgetown (old-west) cemetery. Most stops have short hikes to expand your experience even more! You can also visit Kodachrome State Park (additional $10 entry fee).
In a half-day, you can typically visit two of these sites. Pack a lunch, put on your hiking boots, and get ready to explore the best of the old-west!
Dress in layers and be ready to hike through streams and get your feet wet! So wear hiking boots that are at least water resistant. Temperatures can vary greatly and so dressing in layers, sunscreen and hydration are a must! Trip lengths vary but generally take 4 hours. Late returns do carry a late fee so watch you time as you hike down the canyon to know when to turn around!
Slot canyons can get hot quickly—bring at least 2 liters per person.
Flash floods are a serious risk; always verify no rain is predicted before entering the canyon.
Trail surfaces are uneven and slippery in places; good hiking shoes are recommended.
Unguided tours require navigation skills—always carry a reliable map and compass or GPS device.
The slot canyons in this region were formed over millions of years by water erosion and hold cultural significance for Native American tribes.
Visitors are encouraged to follow Leave No Trace principles to help protect the fragile desert ecosystem from impact and erosion.
