Ages 16+
Artists and ocean-lovers, ages 16 and up, get the chance to win this Artist Boat's Marine Debris Art Contest for prize money and have their art displayed in a professional art gallery.
Art pieces are comprised primarily of marine debris and must demonstrate the effects aquatic trash can have on our ocean and the life that depends on it.
Our panel of volunteer judges will view all submissions to determine prize placements and display pieces.
Registration is open until December 1, 2025.
Winners will be announced at Galveston's Art Week on January 24th, 2026 at this year's hosting art gallery, Galveston Art League. Cash prizes are sponsored by the Galveston Island Park Board of Trustees.
NOTE: Due to art gallery space limitations, only contest winners and a limited number of additional art pieces will be selected for public display. Contestants will be notified if their art is selected.
Artists may only submit one art piece each.
Art pieces must be delivered to Artist Boat (13330 Settegast Road, Galveston, TX 77554) between November 1st and December 19th.
