About

This activity combo provides a fantastic full-day adventure, all in one day! Our Tonsina Point Kayak trip offers a perfect introduction to sea kayaking in Resurrection Bay, a glacial-fed bay teeming with wildlife, providing calm waters and stunning views. The adventure starts when you meet your guide at our shop. You’ll be outfitted and prepared for the trip and then travel in our vans to Lowell Point Beach. You’ll pass through historic Seward and get your first glimpse of the bay. At the beach, your guide will conduct a safety briefing and familiarize you with the equipment before you take it to the water. Our guides will lead you on a journey and share their expertise on the local flora, fauna, geology, glaciology, the history of Seward, and the diverse wildlife. At the end of the trip, the group will paddle back to Lowell Point and return to the Adventure Sixty North office to prepare for the hike to Exit Glacier. Once back at our office, we’ll drive you to the main entrance of Kenai Fjords National Park and provide you with trekking poles. Our guides will offer interpretive information as you hike through the glacial area and share photos of the glacier’s face at various historical points. The Exit Glacier Overlook Loop Trail is a great way to immerse yourself in Alaska’s natural beauty. This 2.2-mile primitive loop trail is rated easy to moderate and offers views of Kenai Fjords National Park. The trail meanders through a glaciated forest of towering spruce, cottonwood, and birch trees. If you’re fortunate, you might spot a moose, bear, or mountain goat and take in the views of glacially carved valleys.
