Weave a tiny tapestry with us! In this hands-on workshop, students will learn to warp a frame loom, apply weaving techniques, and finish their piece with confidence. We’ll explore color combinations, different types of yarn and fiber, and how to incorporate them into unique and creative designs.
This class is perfect for beginners or those looking to expand their weaving skills. All tools and supplies will be provided, and students will take home their very own finished tapestry.
Optional items you might choose to bring include scissors, yarn, fiber, beads, or accessories to personalize your piece.

Bring: All supplies are provided but optional items that you might choose to bring include scissors, yarn, fiber, beads, or accessories of your own to include into your weaving.
This class is recommended for ages 10+. Minors must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult. While our Barn, Farmhouse, and restrooms are ADA compliant, our farm is not. Please let us know if someone in your group requires additional assistance!

Jasmine is a lifelong resident of Northern Michigan and has been practicing natural dyes for over ten years. She has taught many fiber art workshops in the area and has studied facets of natural dye under Shanna Robinson, India Flint, and Elin Noble.
Jasmine is also an avid weaver and finds expression for her enthusiasm of local fiber arts as a board member for the Tip of the Mitt Fiber Fair.
Give yourself plenty of time to get comfortable with your loom before the workshop begins.
Choose layers and clothes that allow free arm movement and won’t snag on yarn.
Taking notes on techniques will help you practice weaving once you’re back home.
Drinking water is important since the workshop lasts several hours and takes place indoors on the farm.
