The First Cabin was a very early structure built by Fred Burgdorf circa 1870. It boasts fine log craftsmanship, with hewn logs and self-locking, self-draining corner notches. It is at the entrance to all cabins, office and pool with easy access to the parking lot. It is winterized, has a full bed which accommodates two.
Our cabins at Burgdorf are simple and rustic. Remember they are sparsely furnished log cabins, so you need to come prepared. In each cabin, you can expect a wood-burning stove for heat and bed with a recently purchased mattress and mattress cover, a clean sheet upon which to place your desired bedding or sleeping bag, as well as a table and chairs. This cabin has electricity and water spigot is in front of the office. Outhouses are close by and firewood is on the porch. All cabins are within walking distance of the office and pool area. The surrounding area is scenic and natural. No pets allowed on property: Please leave your furry friends at home. Think camping with a cozy fire, in a clean cabin, with a bed.
