Enjoy a unique adventure that combines excitement, teamwork, and a touch of history!
Duration: 1 Hour
As part of a team of three, you will take it in turns to drive one of our FV432 tanks, giving you a taste of what it’s like to drive a tank both in and out of battle conditions! Upon arrival, you will be introduced to your crew, kitted out in a tank suit (if needed) and given a helmet. Your instructor will then take you to our tank track which is located on an old WWII bombing range.
Following a safety briefing and short history lesson about the FV432 tank, your instructor will show you how to use the controls and give you a headset as you take it in turns to drive around our track. You will each drive two laps, the first with the driver’s hatch open and the second in battle conditions with the hatch closed, using only the periscope to see the track. Whilst the other crew members are driving, you will get to sit in the turret seat, enjoying the ride from the top of the tank!
