A wind-scoured ridge opens to the city — a raw, vertical wall of sandstone and fynbos that seems to breathe over Cape Town. On two wheels, the mountain changes pace: the climbs call for steady breathing, rocky singletrack tests balance, and each crest rewards a new panorama of Table Bay, the Winelands, and the serrated skyline of Devil's Peak. The tour threads from Constantia Neck, slips through the cool lawns of Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, skirts the amphitheatre of Table Mountain, drops onto Signal Hill and finishes with a coast-side roll into Camps Bay.

Adventure Tips

Beat the wind

Start early—Cape Town’s southeasterly wind builds in the afternoon and can turn descents technical and cold.

Hydrate for the climbs

Carry 2–3 liters of water and an electrolyte mix; there are no guaranteed water stops on the mountain slopes.

Bring layered clothing

Temperatures shift between shaded fynbos and exposed ridges—pack a light wind shell and breathable base layers.

Carry a basic repair kit

A spare tube, mini-pump and multitool will save time on remote singletrack sections.
