Skateboarding and surf-skating can be a difficult sport to master, and bumps and bruises are a common occurrence when learning on your own. Learning alongside professionals will help minimize your chance of injury and give you valuable insight on how to approach surf-skating the right way. Taking in person lessons from expert skaters allows you to ask questions and get immediate answers. You will be able to learn so much more in a short amount of time than would be possible using any other training method. This class is great for those that want to get comfortable and confident riding a surf skate. Students will learn the techniques needed to: train fine twitch surfing muscles in legs and core, learn turning motion, build speed (pump), slide, carve, hit ramps and other features to improve surfing ability, improve confidence in and out of the water. Also a great choice for someone that has a fear of the ocean but has the desire to try surfing.
Always wear a helmet, knee pads, and wrist guards to reduce injury risk during your surf skate lessons.
Surf skating often takes place on public pathways; stay aware of pedestrians and obey local traffic guidelines.
Bring water and take breaks to stay hydrated, especially during warmer months on the sunny California coast.
