Joanna (5/5) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I wasn’t sure what to expect on this walk but it was delightful. The guide was very knowledgeable, answered questions around the subject. We like to think we know London quite well as we are regular visitors, this tour brought us into lovely unseen areas with a rich history. Our guide expanded on the familiar suffragette story, differentiating between the different groups of women (and also men), their inter group tensions and relationships and the political and social context of their struggles. We chose this walk because my daughter had been studying the suffragette movement at primary school - we all came away from the walk much more enlightened. Would definitely highly recommend!
Mary (5/5) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ''This walk was excellent - 90 minutes was just the right amount of time. It started and finished on time, and the pace was good, with time to stop at each site to listen to Kirstie explaining the history and answer any questions. Communication from the company was so good as I thought I was going to be late, and spoke to Hazel who was very helpful. Kirstie was approachable, friendly, and spoke clearly. She made sure we were all keeping up, particularly at road junctions. I would highly recommend this event. You need comfortable shoes, water, and a hat"
Carol (5/5) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I so enjoyed this walk, Kirstie was such an interesting and knowledgeable guide. I used to work in the Westminster area and found I had walked past spots so many times without knowing their story. Good to see women’s history in the spotlight"
Jane (5/5) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Very interesting and engaging talk - I learned a lot from it"
Julia (5/5) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Brilliant walk. A great overview of Suffragettes and Suffragists and a fascinating walk through quiet Westminster streets. Very enjoyable"
Elaine (5/5) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "What a fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I learned so much about women of immense courage who against the odds were fantastic strategists. Against the odds, the will of men, Parliament and archaic laws (even at that time) still persevered for equality. I ventured along unfamiliar roads and saw beautiful monuments dedicated to the fortitude , equality and voting rights for women. The guide spoke eloquently. I will be recommending this walk to others for fitness and access to wisdom about wonderful women. Sunday school of a different kind."
