Is the first step in your paddling journey. If you’re brand new to the sport and really want to learn the basics to get started, then this is the award for you. You’ll cover everything from getting in and out of the boat, what you need to wear and paddling forward.
During this course you will learn about Clothing and equipment, how to get safely in and out of your kayak, how to paddle forward, turn and stop and how to stay safe on and off the water, and gain an awareness of how you can limit your impact on the the environment and wildlife you will share the water with.
Safety is paramount; always wear your provided PFD throughout the lesson to stay buoyant in unexpected situations.
