Spend 11 hours casting and jigging for impressive fish weighing up to 30 lbs, all while surrounded by the stunning Stannard Rock lighthouse. This unforgettable trip combines natural beauty with the excitement of deep-water fishing.

At the Rock, we fish primarily by casting and jigging for fish that can be as much as 20-30 lbs! Built in 1883, the Stannard Rock lighthouse is on a reef 49 miles out from the dock in Shelter Bay. The reef is surrounded by deep waters, creating a natural fish hatchery.
Due to the 2+ hours travel time, we depart very early for this trip.
Anyone 17 and over will need a Michigan Fishing license. You can purchase a seasonal license or a 1-day fishing license. Please visit the DNR website for more information or their E-license page to purchase a license online.
We recommend you bring at least the following: fishing license, warm clothing, sunglasses, hat, soft-soled shoes, food and drinks, and a cooler & ziplock bags for your fillets. All fishing equipment is provided, but you're welcome to bring along your own rod!
