The Southern Run is scheduled to fish inshore; around the inlet and in the backwater. It typically does not go into the ocean unless it is a beautiful calm day.
Captain Michael & Co will usually fish for puppy drum, trout, sheepshead, bottom fish, spanish mackeral and blues. Certain types of fish, the quantity and the location of the fishing is not guaranteed. Many variables are considered including weather, tide, recent storms, etc. Please refer to our policy for cancelations and cancelations due to weather BEFORE booking.
The Southern Run is a 24-foot long, center console shallow runner. The cool thing about this rig is the shoal/shallow water capabilities due to the flat bottom! This allows us to get into the Outer Banks fishing shallows with the tower to help spot schools of redfish. She will idle in 12-15 inches of water and on plane 7-8 inches! The Southern Run is high sided with good bow flair and a is definitely one of a kind!
