Experience the thrill of a guided river crossing as you access Mt Mawdsley! Enjoy a scenic drop-off at Sulphur Gates, followed by a unique rafting adventure across the Smoky River's channels. This unforgettable journey combines nature and teamwork, making it a perfect outing for hiking enthusiasts.
Service includes drop-off and pick-up on the east side of the Smoky River.
DROP OFF: We meet your group at the Sulphur Gats staging area and walk the short 5-minute trail to the Smoky River, just upstream of the Sulphur Gates. Crossing the river usually includes 2 smaller channels and the main channels. At each channel, the packs and hikers get into the raft and our guide rows across.
PICK UP: When the service is booked, the pick-up date and time are agreed to. If this changes when your group is on the trail, there is cell service. We require a minimum of 12 hours to change a pick-up time, but even then, cannot guarantee we can accommodate a time or date change.
The terrain around Mt Mawdsley includes rocky and uneven paths, so proper footwear is essential.
