Enjoy access to six public geothermal pools, perfect for relaxation. This unique, non-powered site offers a peaceful retreat, ideal for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle.

About

Non-powered (No Electricity). The dimensions are 6m long x 4m wide. Site 28 is a gravel spot suitable for a small caravan OR a medium sized campervan. Please note for caravans: Your tow vehicle will need to be detached and parked in specified area near your caravan on arrival. Located at the end of the campground, this is often one of quietest sites, overlooking the Waikite Valley Thermal Reserve. It is approximately 100m to the facilities and geothermal pools.

  • Pools begin to drain at 7.15pm and are closed at 8pm
  • Reception Hours are 10am to 7.30pm
  • Check in is 2pm unless you purchase an early check in when booking.
  • Check out is at 11am.
  • Sorry no Wifi Available and cellphone reception is limited.
  • $4 washed and Dryers ($2 coins only). Soap power is available at reception
  • No dump station on site. Closest is Rotorua.
  • Drying Shed is located near site 12.
  • Absolutely no drones
  • No pets during public holidays (long weekends) or peak season (1st December - 31st January)
  • All persons must wear swim wear appropriate for public bathing.
  • Children must be actively supervised at all times.

CAFE

  • Open for coffee and hot food from 11.30am - 6pm. Hours are subject to change based on busyness of the complex.
  • Menu available on request.

No smoking or vaping permitted in campground within any part of the complex at any time. Smoking permitted main driveway area only.

Site 28 is non-powered; bring battery packs or solar panels if you need electricity for devices.

Respect Quiet Hours Near Pools

Pools close at 8pm; plan visits accordingly to enjoy the mineral springs in peace and safety.

All visitors must wear proper swimwear for public bathing, including children who require supervision at all times.

Plan Tow Vehicle Parking for Caravans

If camping with a caravan, your tow vehicle must be detached and parked nearby as instructed on arrival.
