Embark on a thrilling two-hour sightseeing adventure from Swanage Pier to Dancing Ledge. Marvel at stunning views of Durlston Castle and Anvil Point lighthouse, while spotting diverse wildlife, including guillemots and possibly puffins. This two hours trip departs Swanage Pier and steams past Peveril Ledge where you get a lovely view of Swanage Lifeboat Station, then round into Durlston Bay. From here, Durlston Castle is clearly visible, which sits proudly at Durlston Head, next to Anvil point lighthouse.
Only 15 minutes into the trip, you will get close up sightings of the Durlston Guillemot colonies, all gathered at the base of the limestone cliffs. This colony is the second most largest and most Eastern colony of guillemots on the south coast and usually stay till early July. Bottlenose Dolphins and the Common Dolphin, regularly make an appearance in large pods off this stretch of water.
As you approach Dancing Ledge, you maybe lucky enough to catch sightings of our Purbeck Puffins. They return to this exact same part of the coastline every spring, and are one of Britain's most loved Birds. You will have to be patient and have a sharp eye, but it is absolutely worth the trip.
From the boat, we are fortunate to get close enough to the cliffs for exceptional photography opportunities, without disturbing the birds.
As well as wildlife, Dancing Ledge is a popular site for cliff climbing, coasteering and hikers, so sporting activity is often available to observe from a different angle.
A compact pair helps you spot distant seabirds and marine mammals along the cliffs.

Durlston Castle, visible from the trip, was built in 1887 as a center for public enjoyment and education about the coast.
