While enjoying its impressive natural wonders, get to know the history of this region from its beginnings at interesting ruins of the Greek and Roman Empires next to the sea.
Our professional guide will pick you up in your hotel in a private vehicle and will guide you through the most symbolic, representative, and beautiful corners of Costa Brava, located in the northeast of Catalonia and bathed by the gorgeous Mediterranean Sea.
You will enjoy magnificent panoramic views, with viewpoints where you can stop for fantastic photo opportunities, in which the bright green tones blend with the turquoise waters in a magical combination.
Led by our professional guide you will start with a journey through time in the archeological ruins of Empuries, an old city very important in the Mediterranean. In it, you will see ruins of the Greek and Roman eras thanks to which we will discover how they lived and how the city was, their streets, houses, temples, and markets.
These archeological remains are located in Sant Martí d’ Empúries, a little town built next to one of the most important ports in Roman times. Nowadays it is conserved as a medieval town, where we still can see most of the wall and feel its essence by walking through its narrow and picturesque streets. You will go from Sant Martí d’Empúries to Estartit, the principal port and one of the diving destinations of Costa Brava, where you will take a ship to the Medes Islands. During an hour and a half and thanks to the underwater vision of the ship, you will be delighted to see the stunning flora and fauna of the archipelago, which is known for having the best marine reserve in the western Mediterranean.
The Medes Islands are made up of 7 islands that form an archipelago which is part of the Natural Park of Montgrí. These islands offer the perfect match between landscape and marine diversity, as well as history since it is said that they were a beaten path for pirates after having found shipwrecks in the surroundings.
Finally, you will be able to swim into the crystalline waters of a hidden cove surrounded by the typical landscape and nature of Costa Brava. You will also be able to walk through some of the most representative and charming fishing towns of the region, the results of the combination of tradition and modernity, full of narrow streets and corners that hide a very long and rich history.
