About This Adventure

Embark on an exhilarating journey to become an SSI Divemaster, the pinnacle of diving qualifications! This comprehensive course combines classroom learning, pool evaluations, and ocean dives, equipping you to lead and teach others in the underwater world. Elevate your skills and open doors to a rewarding diving career!

TRAINING COSTS:

  • $1500 Tuition per person
  • $165 SSI E-learning materials
  • $70 Professional Registration fee
  • $34 SSI Slates ()

2 person minimum. If minimum participation is not met, the module will be cancelled and you can either be bumped to the next scheduled event, or refunded

OBJECTIVE: This is the most sought-after title within the SSI curriculum, as it gives you the experience and ability to safely lead others on daily fun dives! The SSI Divemaster qualification allows you to assist Instructors as a Certified Assistant on open water training dives. SSI Divemasters teach Snorkeling and any of the six Ecology courses. It is also a prerequisite to any further SSI Professional ratings if you are looking to make diving a new career and become an SSI Instructor.

As an active SSI Divemaster you can:

  • Guide certified divers on recreational scuba dives.
  • Teach, supervise and issue recognition cards for the SSI Snorkeling program.
  • Act as a certified assistant for all SSI recreational courses.
  • Assist during open water training dives by taking no more than two (2) students at a time on excursion dives
  • Qualify as a Training Specialist for the SSI Ecology Specialty programs.

DIVER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Open Water Diver Cert. or higher
  • 18 years or older
  • 40 logged open water dives at start of course (60 to complete)
  • RSTC Medical Statement signed by a Physician within 1 year
  • Perfect Buoyancy Cert. and/or able to demonstrate mastery
  • Navigation Cert. and/or able to demonstrate mastery
  • Night & Limited Visibility Cert. and/or able to demonstrate mastery
  • Deep Cert. and/or able to demonstrate mastery
  • First Aid/CPR
  • O2 Provider
  • Diver Stress & Rescue Cert.
  • Science of Diving
  • Boat dive experience

The payment of Course Fees guarantees TRAINING, not necessarily certification. Certification is EARNED only by successfully meeting all applicable standards and objectives.

  • The Divemaster course will get you certified for any SSI facility in the world!
  • This course is not a job application with Bamboo Reef.
  • If you would like to work for Bamboo Reef, there is a required internship with additional training.
