Adventure Tips

Bring Sturdy Tent Footprint

The wooden platforms protect the marsh but can be uneven; a thick footprint or tarp helps protect your tent’s floor and adds comfort.

Prepare for Mosquitoes

Salt marsh areas often have bugs around dawn and dusk—bring insect repellent and consider wearing long sleeves to stay comfortable.

Use the Fire Ring Safely

Fires are permitted only in the designated fire ring; bring firewood or charcoal as collecting wood on-site is prohibited to protect natural resources.

Respect Tidal Schedules

Be aware of tides if venturing near marsh waters—higher tides can change access points and increase moisture around your campsite.
