Join Captain Ben aboard the Longshot for an exhilarating fishing adventure! This fast, comfortable 30-foot Kingfisher offers a unique experience with personalized attention and expert guidance. With the chance to catch multiple salmon species, including kings, enjoy a memorable day on the water filled with excitement and camaraderie.

Fish with the experienced Captain Ben who has been chartering for over 11 seasons out of Homer, to get the best catch!

About the Salmon Trip

  • We have the opportunity to troll up all 5 species of the Pacific Salmon.
  • The feeder kings are cruising around fattening themselves up to spawn another year and we catch them year round.
  • This is a popular late winter/early spring fishery.
  • The spawning kings will come through headed for our local rivers and streams from mid May through July.
  • Sockeye’s and Pink’s will arrive throughout the middle of the summer and the Silver’s finish off our salmon season from late July well into September.
  • These salmon are as fresh and wild as they get! Don’t wait until they are in the river’s to experience the fight of a salmon.

About the West Cape

  • Captain Ben welcomes you aboard his new 33ft Bounty Motor Yacht the West Cape for the upcoming season! This new boat has twin 370 hp Yanmar diesels and cruise up to 24 kts. The spacious new boat will offer added comfort, speed and an excellent experience, Capt. Ben is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of fishing out of Homer. Acting as captain and deckhand he provides individualized attention to each guest on board. Ben was 2010’s Homer Jackpot Derby Winning Captain!
