King’s College Chapel is the most famous building in Cambridge and is renowned world-wide for its beauty and its choir. It was founded by King Henry VI in 1441 and took one hundred years to build. Queens' College was founded by Henry’s young queen, Margaret of Anjou, in 1448.
Please note that Queens' College will be closed to the public from 15 April to 30 June for the summer exams. This tour will not be available during this time.
King's College Chapel allows guided group tours led by Cambridge Green Badge guides (i.e.us). But the Chapel is not open every day. Please note that the maximum group size permitted by King's College Chapel is 15.
To complete the royal theme the tour will take in other colleges such as Trinity and St John's, though seen only from the outside. You will also see famous Cambridge sights such as the historic Eagle Pub, the old Cavendish Laboratory and the 11th century church of St Bene't's.
