The Cathedral’s builders are waiting for you in the Museum! Sculptors, architects, engineers and painters will accompany you while you discover all about the work site, revealing how they made the magnificent works of art which decorate the Duomo. Through this you will learn all about how they transported the marble from the Alps to Milan, unravel the colour-mixing secrets of the master glass makers in the Mediaeval period as well as put yourself in the shoes of an architect.
The price includes the guided tour, microphone system and the Duomo Pass Lift entrance ticket, which gives you access to all areas of the Historical Complex.
If you decide to go up to the Terraces on your own at the end of the guided tour, please remember the following:
Plan to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled tour to ensure smooth check-in and to get settled with your audio equipment.
You’ll be walking and standing for around an hour, including on some uneven surfaces in the Museum and on the Terraces.
The rooftop is uncovered; bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen during warmer months to protect against sun exposure.
Only plastic bottles are allowed on the terraces, so bring water with you to stay hydrated, especially in summer.
