20 Hours : From 15 PM to 11AM
The campsites are located at Uncle Buck’s, and gives you close access to trail heads to ride your horse through Zaleski State Forest and to explore the famous Moonville tunnel and the King Hollow tunnel. If you don’t have your own horses, you can rent horses through Uncle Buck’s. Uncle Buck’s also has live music most Saturday nights with a saloon and restaurant. The campsites are primitive there are no electric hook ups. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring. if you do bring your own horses, you are also able to rent stalls.
Water sources are limited at the primitive campsites, so pack enough drinking water for your stay.
Bridle trails wind through rolling hills and forested terrain—sturdy boots and horse shoes suited for rocky paths are recommended.
Horse rentals are popular, especially on weekends; book in advance to secure your mount.
Use the provided fire rings only and follow local guidelines to prevent wildfires in this heavily wooded area.
Moonville Tunnel dates back to the late 1800s and is tied to regional railroading heritage and local legends of hauntings.
