About

Enjoy the open water, sweeping views, and the scenic NY Skyline on this 5 hour (16-18 mile round trip) Hudson River Kayak/Paddleboard Adventure. We will launch from Pier 13, practice kayaking/SUP skills, review on-water safety practices, and then paddle north along the NJ shoreline with stunning views of Manhattan. The group will paddle right under the GW Bridge, landing just north of the GW at a beach/picnic area in Pallisades Park. After photos and rest stop (bring your own snack/lunch), the group will head back to Pier 13, Hoboken. If time allows or by request with advance notice, the group may cross the river to visit the historic Little Red Lighthouse. This tour is for advanced paddlers only as it takes place out in the active waters of the Hudson River.

The tour follows the American Canoe Association curriculum and industry standards for risk management. The “challenge by choice” model will be followed in order to ensure comfort while allowing each person to participate at his or her own speed. However, we require prior experience paddling touring kayaks in moving water/currents/waves for this open water tour. Not yet experienced? Please try one of our shorter shoreline tours or beginner lessons first to build up some skills. Then join in on the fun of exploring the Hudson River by kayak or paddleboard!

On this kayak/SUP tour you can expect incredible views of:

  • The GW Bridge
  • Empire State Building
  • Mid-Town Manhattan
  • The Frying Pan
  • The Intrepid
  • Upper West Manhattan

Discover a new way to explore New York and New Jersey on this unique kayak/SUP tour. Our fantastic guides are here to give you the experience you're looking for!
